GET TO KNOW PSDPC CLUB MEMBERS!

Dee Robison

Having been a member for almost 50 years, I think PSDPC is doing very well! When I joined I wanted to learn more about the Doberman and the sport of showing, which I did. I also wanted to be around other people that love the Doberman. We do lots of fun activities in our club!

How many Dobermans do you have? How many have you had in the past?

I now have six, have had a lot in the past.

How do your dogs get their names?

Most of my dogs have been named after rose bushes!

Any other pets?

We have a barn kitty, goats, chickens and a cow.

How long have you been with the Club and what activities do you do as a PSDPC member?

In March 2024 my husband (Russ) and I will be a member for 50 years.

I have served every board position at least once. I was secretary and Russ and I were on the show committee when our club hosted the DPCA National in 1981, where we both worked ten long days.

I have always helped wherever I could. I was the Show Chair for our club for ten specialties, I was the newsletter editor for ten plus years.  I was chair of “Meet the Breeds” for many years. I judged Junior Showmanship for our club in 2022.  I have been Chair of the WAE for the last 13 years and Club historian for 20 + years.

What do you like best about it? What do you hope to see the Club do better?

When I joined I wanted to learn more about the Doberman and the sport of showing, which I did. I also wanted to be around other people that love the Doberman.

What’s your favorite thing to do with your dog(s)?

I love doing performance. I really loved doing therapy work with Leonidas, it was so rewarding and we had a fun time! He was a great ambassador for our breed!

What do you plan to do this year with your dog?

Conformation, Obedience, Scent Work, Barn Hunt, Farm Dog, FastCat (my dogs really love that one). I also want to train one of my dogs to do therapy work.
